Podcast to Check Out!
| luty 25th, 2007Here are the podcasts I find both useful and interesting. All of these can be found on iTunes, you can also download episodes off their web sites. I listen to these every week when there are posts, and I have put in my descriptions ones that have had some inappropriate language, but this is only occasionally and not frequent in any. One word of caution, I do tend toward the geeky side!
Daily podcast hosted by Tom Merritt, Molly Wood and Veronica Belmont that covers daily tech news. This podcast is posted very regularly and is normally posted in the afternoon. I generally listen the next day, but you could listen to it in the evenings too!
DL.TV Digital Life TV
Hosted by Patrick Norton and Robert Heron this podcast (video and audio) tends to be much more techie than any of the others and goes into more detail into specific products. It is a regular podcast that comes out on Tuesday and Thursday. You can also watch this streamed live from their web sites. The recently changed the time and I think it is live around 3 p.m. EST.
TWiT This Week in Tech
This is hosted by Leo Laporte of the old TechTv. Leo brings in many other hosts to talk about the tech news of the week. Generally lasts about one hour and is safe for high school listeners. They can get a bit campy sometimes. This podcast spawned several other podcasts and is now more of a network. There are several other podcasts at www.twit.tv.
Paul Thurrott and Leo Laporte host this somewhat weekly podcast about MS Windows issues, new and upcoming projects.
This is as close as I get to a podcast for just fun! Joe Deon a pilot with a “major airline†takes you in the cockpit to hear some interesting stories from both other airline workers, passengers and anyone else he can get to allow him to record them. He does an excellent job and this is a great sounding podcast. Since becoming a captain, I have noticed a sharp drop in the posting on this podcast but….still worth a listen!! There are occasionally some bad words so use with caution in the classroom.
